Quiet until you need it.
Closed, the island shows one thing: how much of today is done, your next task, or the timer that's running. On Macs without a notch it sits in the menu bar. On Macs with one, it wraps around the camera.

Open the island and the day is laid out in order: the date, a short headline, a thin progress bar, the week, then your tasks. There's nothing to set up before you start.

Move tasks through the week.
Drag a task onto any day, or hold it over an arrow to flip to the next week. The menu also moves tasks to today, tomorrow or next week, and every change can be undone.
Up to three priorities a day.
Mark what matters most and it moves to the top with a heavier ring. There are no colored tags or flags to manage. The limit is a cue to choose, and you can change your mind any time.
Unfinished tasks stay put.
Nothing rolls forward on its own. On Today, a banner offers to move yesterday's leftovers, or to review them one at a time: move to today, pick a day, keep or delete.
Focus mode
One task. One timer.
Start a session from any task. The open island shows the task, the time and three controls. Close it and the timer stays in view, right in the island.
- The clock runs on timestamps, so it stays right when the panel is closed, the Mac sleeps or the app relaunches.
- Sessions pause on their own while your Mac is asleep.
- Set a session length if you like, with a quiet sound or a notification when it's reached.
- Finish with Complete task, or end the session and leave the task open.

When can I try it?

How much will it cost?
$4.99 for the first 50 buyers, then $9.99. It's a one-time purchase.
Does it work on a MacBook with a notch?
Yes. On a Mac with a notch the island wraps around the camera housing. On other Macs it sits in the menu bar. It works across Spaces and on external displays too.
Do I have to hover to open it?
No. Click the island, or press ⌃⌥D from any app. You can change the shortcut in Settings, or switch hover off and open it by clicking only.
Is it a calendar?
No. Tidy Day plans days. A task can have a time if you want one, but there's no hour-by-hour grid to fill in.
What happens to tasks I don't finish?
They stay on the day you planned them. On Today, a banner offers to move them to today or to review them one by one, so you decide where each one goes.
Where are my tasks stored?
In a local database on your Mac. Tidy Day goes online only once, to activate your license key, and never sends your tasks anywhere. There's no iCloud sync yet.
Will it get in the way of full-screen apps?
Over a full-screen app the island fades away, unless a focus session is running.
